Landscape photography VLOG - A peaceful day in the murk

Landscape photography VLOG Video

In my latest vlog, I set out into a dense, isolated part of the woods, an area filled with towering birch trees and scattered wildlife tracks. The wet, overcast October weather set a moody tone as I wandered through the woodland, capturing the atmosphere with my old Sony A7 and experimenting with still photography—a challenge for someone more inclined to video work.

Navigating the tangled forest, I struggled to find a simple, clean composition. The busy environment made creating minimalistic stills tricky, especially compared to using video, where layers and obstructions can enhance storytelling. Nevertheless, I persisted, experimenting with different lenses, apertures, and angles to find one image that conveyed the story of this chaotic, rain-soaked landscape.

While the results weren’t exactly inspiring, the day proved a meditative exercise in patience and creative problem-solving. Check out the final images, and let me know what you think!
