I took the Samyang 85mm T1.5 Cine lens out for some POV woodland photography on a Sony A7iii.

I was in the woods recceing a new spot for my Coffee in the Woods Series, and thought I’d take the 85mm T1.5 along for shits and giggles. It’s the Sony FE mount, so I stuck it on one of my old A7iii’s and decided that I’d only shoot wide open at T1.4, the optical equivalent of f1.4, apparently.

Currently on Amazon for just £297 (November 8th 2023), an absolute bargain for this bokeh monster!
It’s a great lens, I use it a lot for video, it’s honestly one of my favorites, but I don’t attempt much photography with it, so this was nice to do.
As far as woodland photography goes I’m pretty useless, and I didn’t put too much effort into it, just fired off a few from the hip, like Rambo.
It was fun, and I liked a few of the shots, I’ll leave a couple below… hopefully, it helps someone out who may be on the fence about buying it.
